Admission to the NDA courses will be made on the basis of the results of the written examination conducted by
the commission and followed by intelligence and personality test by the Service Selection Board.
Written Examination : 900 Marks
Paper I : Mathematics - 300 marks (120 questions) duration of exam is 2½ Hours
Paper II : General Ability Test - 600 marks (150 questions) duration of exam is 2½ Hours
SSB Interview : 900 Marks
Day 1 (Screening): Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test , Picture Perception & Discussion (PP&DT) Test
Day 2 (Psychology Test) :Thematic Apperception Test (TAT), Word Association Test (WAT), Situation Reaction Test (SRT)
Day 3 (Group Testing - I) : Progressive Group Task (PGT), Group Discussion
Day 4 (Group Testing - II) : Lecturette, Final Group Task , Personal Interview
Day 5 (Conference)
Educational Qualification For Appearing In Examination:
For Army wing of National Defence Academy: -12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education.
For Air force and Naval Wings of NDA and for the 10+2 cadet entry scheme at the Indian Naval Academy
12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics No minimum percentage required
Age limits
16½ years to 19½ years
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education can also apply for the examination.
